If you don't need the money in the short term, you might as well make it work for you in a CD!

If it's been sitting around doing nothing for more then a year, you probably don't need it. eBay is a great place to sell the stuff that's been sitting in your closet, garage, or attic. If you don't want to deal with eBay, you can always find an eBay drop-off store that will sell it for you (and take their commission).
